This comedy explores finding meaning in life when you have only previously defined yourself by your career. Two friends fill the void by retirement in different ways: Marty decides he want to explore the open road on a Harley while Fred decides to pay more attention to his health, inventing many new ailments along the way. With a "subtle redirection" from their wives and a creative solution to a very unusual problem (which may or may not include a homemade coffin), they find the right track...eventually.
Director Ann Davis is seeking 2 men and 2 women to play characters in their late 50's to mid 60's. Readings will be from the script. No actors paid. For questions, please contact the director at firstname.lastname@example.org
The characters are as follows:
Marty — A retired High School English teacher
Deb — Marty's wife. Also retired.
Fred — A friend of Marty and Deb. Also retired.
Gladys — A friend of Marty and Deb. Fred's wife. Also retired.
